All Things Biblical discusses the Biblical foundation and motivation for giving.

• Should we give a set percentage or amount?
• Should we base it on the tithe?
• What should our attitude be toward giving?
• In what way is giving an act of worship and stewardship?

At GBF we do not “pass the offering plate” because we believe in the NT principle of uncoerced, joyous and gracious giving, “for the Lord loves a cheerful giver.” We also do not want a person who is not yet believing in Christ to feel that they can somehow earn God’s favor by putting money in the offering. Instead, there is a small box in the foyer where people can drop their gifts in unnoticed and privately.
