Eric has been teaching, making disciples of the Lord, and caring for Christ’s body as His under-shepherd in Mendocino County for 37 years (since 1989). For the past 14 years he has served at Grace Bible Fellowship in Redwood Valley. From 1989 to 2012 (23 years) he ministered alongside his co-pastors/elders at Valley Bible Fellowship in the nearby town of Boonville, California.

In addition to tending to and teaching the Lord’s flock at GBF, Eric speaks at conferences, writes on theological and practical Christian topics, and encourages, assists and helps guide theology students in their advancing studies and dissertations.

Formal training: Ordained and sent by Santa Rosa Bible Church elders (including Dr. Bob Graves) to shepherd at Valley Bible Fellowship in 1989, Eric went on to study at  Tyndale Theological Seminary and Biblical Institute in Dallas/Ft. Worth, with an emphasis in the Biblical languages, exegesis and pulpit exposition. He has served as the online editor for The Conservative Theological Society. 

Eric has spoken nationally and regionally and for the Conservative Theological Society and his papers and articles are published in the Conservative Theological Journal, the journal Imperium Testamentum, and online. He has been contributing author to several pastoral and theological books, including A Pastor’s Manual on Doing Church, and on the role of the pastor as teacher in the book, Evangelical Bible Doctrine.

Eric brings a background in applied science/technology, R&D laboratories, software development and business consulting, and forest management experiences.

Eric and his wife, Wilette, reside in Redwood Valley, California. They have three adult daughters and enjoy talking with and sharing the great news of the gospel with new acquaintances and old friends, exploring the highways and byways of rural Mendocino county, and soaking up time with their daughters and grandchildren.
