Resurrection Sunday!
The first evidence of resurrection & the first sighting of Jesus Matthew 27:57-28:10
We as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ have by a convinced faith, bound our lives, our eternal futures, and our hopes to the recorded and well attested historical facts regarding the crucifixion, true death, burial and then the stunning miraculous fact that our crucified Lord is no longer dead but He Himself, against all natural experience, but according to the power of the God who is Lord over all nature, walked out truly alive from that stone cold tomb after three days. On this, not on our obedience to the good commands of God or the path of religious good works, or obeying traditions of sacraments, rests the life, the energy and the hope of Christianity. True faith rests in a Person. A man once dead, dead in our place, who is very much alive right now and is seated in glory and majesty at the right hand of the Eternal Father of Glory. And soon He will descend and call us, either from our graves or from our lives, to Himself to be with Him forever and ever. This is the gospel. This truth is what we believe and confess.
