John 8:28-38

In movies, the single most quoted verse in the Bible, (often including just the last portion of it), is John 8:32, “and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” Did you know that in the lobby of the original CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, those words of Jesus are carved in the marble wall so that every officer and employee would have to see them? In no movie I am aware of is it quoted in its context so that it is properly understood. Just what do the words mean?
