How the child of the Father walks in the light

One Father, one love, one spiritual growth in Christ, pt5

1 Peter 1:17-2:5

The believer in Christ has a whole new life, because he or she has a whole new, ever-living Father that graciously gave eternal life! That leads to some pretty amazing and very important things: First, we’re aiming high with our new lives. We’re aiming for a land and a home with the Father that is far beyond, above and brighter than the rusty rim of this temporary, leaky old crate.

Second, we’ve been fortified with the divine superpowers of truth and love. We’ve been shown truth and love in God sending the Son into the fallen world. We’ve been loved by truth and love in the Son’s life, teaching, death and resurrection. We’ve been born again by the working of truth and love. And so in this new life we’re called to walk in truth and love, until we are called from above to go Home to truth and love.

How does this simple but powerful reality work itself out in us? What is our calling in this present life?
