Like Nebuchadnezzar, Darius’ pride gets the best of him, and is used by his usurping Satraps to control him. Daniel’s humility before man and God causes him to disobey the king, and thus bring about the restoration of Darius’ authority, and Darius’ conversion. Daniel finishes life well.
