Applying the Law of Christ, Pt. 8 Philippians 2:1-9

Philippians 2:1-9

We’ve been laying out a Biblical view of the Law of God as it relates to and is applied to people and groups in succeeding periods and in relation to the great event and work of the  cross of Christ. We’ve looked at Adam, Noah, Abraham, and Moses, and the Law of God as it is expressed in each of their times in human history. This concept of unfolding of a great truth is known as Progressive Revelation. We’ve begun the unfurling of the flag and banner of the principle under which we now live in the age of the Spirit, in the body of Christ, until the rapture of His beloved, the church. This is the Law of Christ.

A couple Sundays ago we were enriched by an aspect of the Law of Christ in Galatians 6:1-5. Like a soldier of old, sharpening his sword, we’re finally starting to feel our way along and up the edge of the blade to finally test out the sharp end of the stick regarding this regulative principle for us as Christians and as His church, the Law of Christ.
